Tasting Notes
Color: | Light yellow. |
Nose: | Fruity and luscious, bright pear and elderflower. |
Palate: | It is fresh and crisp, juicy pear and peach flavors. Although it shows a slight hint of residual sugar it is quite zippy and refreshing. |
Other: | Great as an aperitif, served with light summer lunches or appetizers. |
Winemaking
This is a blend of 60% Furmint and 40% Hárslevelű and it is made from 2016 vintage base wine.
This is a carbonated semi dry sparkling cuvée.
Fermented in stainless steel tanks, matured for a few months before being carbonated and bottled.
Furmint is one of the traditional varietals used to make Tokaj white wines and Aszù when it is blended with Muscat and Hárslevelű.
The name Furmint is taken from the French word “froment” for the wheat-gold color of the wine it produces. Hárslevelű is the second most planted grape in the Tokaji region and is usually blended with other varietals and will add spice and delicate notes of elderflower.
