Alex della Vecchia is the young man who worked with Ernesto Cattel of Costadilà, and who alongside Martina Celi continues to maintain the vines and make those wines after its founder Ernesto Cattel’s passing in 2018.
Starting in 2017, he started to vinify grapes from his family’s vineyards out of the Costadilà winery. A sparkling, colfondo white is produced with macerated Verduzzo Trevigiano and a still red wine is produced from Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Alex does not fine, filter or add sulfur. This is a tiny project and the wine is very limited. – Louis/Dressner
