About the Producer
Cédric Guyot is an independent grower champagne producer from Fontaine-Denis in the Côte de Sézanne sub region of Champagne, France. He uses certified sustainable (Viticulture Durable en Champagne) farming practices on his 5.80 hectare, three-generational vineyard. All vines were planted by Cédric Guyot’s grandfather in 1965. He grows only chardonnay and pinot noir, producing about 35,000 bottles annually. His soil is limestone and chalk dominate, on southerly facing slopes, existing as an extension of the Cote de Bars. Victorieux maintains a special connection with Cédric Guyot as our first grower partner in our portfolio. This indie grower is younger, louder with his critically acclaimed Rose de Saignee (Victorieux Rose de Cara) and pushing the boundaries of independent grower champagne in the Cote de Sezanne, eschewing a local history of selling grapes to large houses.
